Development contributions policy
Auckland City Council (2006-2007)
This was an ongoing project with Auckland City Council that saw Ascari leading the update of the Council’s 2007 development contributions (DC) policy and associated methodologies. This work included:
» An assessment of the public space costs of growth in the Auckland CBD
» Updates to the Council’s public space cost allocation and recovery methodologies
» An assessment of the impact of DC charges on development in the CBD and wider Auckland isthmus
» Development, in conjunction with the Council’s Treasury group, of a methodology for recovering financing costs associated with DCs
» An update of the DC policy, and the transport and public space methodologies, to take account of judicial guidance
» Participation in the hearings process for the updated policy as part of consultation of Auckland City Council’s 2007 Annual Plan.
